Dr. Dave Botsford is a clinical and sport psychologist based in Santa Barbara California. Dr. Botsford works with athletes and teams from youth through college and elite levels, helping individuals to refine the consistency and success of their sport performance.
In addition to his position with iPerformance Consultants, Dr. Botsford is the clinical and sport psychologist for the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) Athletics Department where he provides clinical and performance psychology services to Division I collegiate student athletes.
Dr. Botsford completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Arizona School of Professional Psychology, including an APA accredited internship at the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department. Additionally, Dr. Botsford has a Master of Science degree in Sport Psychology from the University of Utah and is a licensed psychologist in California.
Dr. Botsford is a Certified Mental Training Consultant (CMPC) with the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) as well as a member of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) Sport Psychology Registry. Dr. Botsford has taught both sport psychology and clinical psychology courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Botsford is a lifelong athlete; enjoying soccer, snowboarding, swimming, running, Muay Thai, and is a certified yoga instructor.
