As an aspiring HCPC sport and exercise psychologist, I am currently enrolled on the Qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology (QSEP), looking to broaden my practitioner expertise. I am supported by a team of qualified sport psychologists, who aid and supervise my ongoing training.
With a keen interest surrounding the role of athlete mindset, I am passionate about using the mantra “mindset matters” to optimise athlete potential in training, competition and personal life.
Throughout my four years at Loughborough University, I have conducted and written research papers investigating challenge and threat states in elite gymnasts and transitional barriers experienced by dual-career para-athletes. This research allowed me to gain deeper understanding of the importance of sport psychology across varying situations, whilst providing me with invaluable experience working with both able bodied and para elite athletes.
I have a variety of sporting interests. Growing up as a keen gymnast I am aware of the demands and pressures associated within individual aesthetic sports. This, combined with my interest in professional cricket, golf, rugby and football, makes me a well-rounded individual equipped to support a number of different athletes.
I am enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring athletes receive the correct level of support within their careers and am willing to go above and beyond, tailoring their personal needs to allow them achieve their goals.
