I was struggling with what I thought was a severe mental block in my sport, which deeply affected my confidence and well-being. It had taken over my performance, and no amount of physical training seemed to help. It wasn’t just about the sport anymore—it was affecting my motivation, self-esteem, and overall happiness.
Working with Chris was truly transformative. He provided a safe and supportive space where I could openly discuss my fears, frustrations, and doubts. Through suggesting mental strategies, we worked on reframing my mindset, managing performance anxiety, and rediscovering the joy in my sport.
In just ONE session, I began to feel more in control, less afraid of failure, and able to focus on the present moment rather than the pressure of past mistakes. Chris' approach is thoughtful, empathetic, and tailored to individual needs. Seeking help was the best decision I made—not just for my sport, but for my overall mental well-being.

I came to Chris because I was struggling with my mental attitude towards my sport and re-finding my love for it after a particularly challenging year. Being able to talk to Chris about the problems I was facing and discovering issues I didn't even realise had such a big impact on me was really beneficial and gave me a new perspective to the sport I have been doing for over 7 years now. The advice he provided and methods that we discussed have already proven to have made massive improvements in not only my mental attitude but also how it is affecting my physical performance.

I saw Chris recently in the run up to Ironman wales, it was going to be my second time but a couple of weeks before I started getting very very anxious about it and it was really affecting me.
I had 2 sessions with Chris and we worked through the cause of my anxiety and what strategies I could use before hand, and a plan for the day to allow me to perform to my physical abilities and stay present without becoming overwhelmed and my head getting in the way.
I found this to be really useful in truly difficult conditionsÂ
Would recommend Chris to anyone struggling with confidence or anxiety issues with performance or wvents

We contacted Chris to see if he would be able to work with our 7 year old son who was having issues with managing emotions whilst playing sport, in particular getting angry whilst losing. Chris was highly contactable and quick to respond throughout working with us. He was very supportive and flexible when making arrangements for meetings either in person or remotely. Our son struggled to engage at first due to his own anxieties but Chris was great at working around this using various techniques that let him open up and take part fully in the sessions. Chris also helped us as parents with support and strategies to help our boy. We saw a noticeable change in our son's behaviour whilst working with Chris which was such a relief for us and lovely to see him enjoying playing football again without a problem. Would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a children's sports psychologist.
