Dr Jamie Barker is Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Loughborough University, a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Jamie has an international research profile with research interests in stress, group dynamics, wellbeing and mental health. He has authored over 75 peer reviewed journal publications along with five books including The Psychology of Cricket, Tipping and the Balance and The Psychology of Soccer.
As a sport psychologist Jamie has over 20 years of experience applying is knowledge and skills to business, professional sport and the military. Jamie has consulted with Sony Europe, Sony Mobile, The Football Association, The England and Wales Cricket Board, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Great Britain Rowing, Watford Football Club and The Royal Air Force. Presently, Jamie is the National Lead Sport Psychologist for Para-Football for the Football Association.
